Daisy Table
The Daisy Table is an addition to my Daisy Collection that was created during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
I was inspired by the shape of a daisy flower and wished to simplify the flower overall by including a 3 piece side table featuring frilly edged legs and a daisy table top.
The Daisy Table uses a combination of bright and pastel colours to create depth and definition to the edges of the table legs and top.
Sketches & Design Iteration
When sketching ideas for the daisy table, I already had a vision of what elements I wanted to incorporate into the design. I knew I wanted to have the daisy flower shape as the table top and to use a frilly pattern somewhere in the legs design.
I initially wanted to use a slot-in joining method for the legs however, I decided against this option as I felt that the legs could give a nice effect if they were separate.
I favoured this design choice and only incorporated the frilly edges on one side of each leg to give it a nice contrast between curved and straight lines.
